Ledge Pool and Recreation Area

Ledge Pool and Recreation Area features swimming, Learn-to-Swim classes, fishing in Ledge Lake, sand volleyball and picnicking.  To access the pool area, there is a daily admission fee or season passes can be purchased online now or by phone before Memorial Day at 440-331-8111 or after Memorial Day at Ledge Pool at 330-239-2911.  Ledge Pool and Recreation Area is located in Hinckley Reservation at 1151 Ledge Road, west of State Road and east of Kellogg Road.

Amenities

Ledge Pool and Recreation Area Offers:
  • An 80- by 100-foot heated, stainless steel pool (2-feet deep at shallow end and 5-feet deep at deep end)
  • Swimming lessons taught by American Red Cross Water Safety Instructors are offered for an additional fee  
  • Concession Stand
  • Fishing nearby
  • Species include largemouth bass, bluegill, crappie and rainbow trout (fishing license required)
  • Grills and tables
  • Paddleboat Rentals (during pool hours)
  • Basketball court
  • Sand volleyball courts
  • Reservable picnic shelters

Advanced Group Sale $4.50 (Minimum 10, Maximum 90. For organized groups i.e. day cares, sports teams, churches, schools, scouts on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Tickets must be purchased two weeks prior to visit and are valid only for the date printed on the ticket. To purchase, call 440-331-8111.)

  • Rental package - tent/tables, plus pool admission for up to 15 people, up to 25 additional people $4.50 each
  • Special reserved area with picnic tables for up to 3 hours
  • Minimum 10, maximum 40 people per party

$150 non-profit groups

Private Parties available Friday - Sunday evenings except for May 30, July 4, 8 and August 19.

$4.50 per ticket

Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays between noon and 6 p.m.     Daily pool maximum 90

  • A group is defined as 10 or more individuals
  • All paid tickets are NON-REFUNDABLE, NON-EXCHANGEABLE, AND REDEEMABLE ONLY FOR THE DATE PRINTED ON THE TICKET
  • All tickets must be purchased a MINIMUM of 2 weeks prior to your visit by calling 440-331-8111

Rules/Regulations

Ledge Pool Facility Regulations

  • Obey lifeguard instructions at all times
  • No diving, headfirst entries or flips from pool sides 
  • No alcohol or drugs   
  • Children eight (8) years and under must have adult (age 18+) supervision   
  • No flotation devices (only U.S. Coast Guard approved life jackets permitted) 
  • No masks, snorkels or SCUBA equipment   
  • No holding breath for long periods of time   
  • No glass containers 
  • No pets inside fenced area 
  • Swim diapers required for infants and small children   
  • No riding wheeled vehicles inside the fence 
  • No running   
  • No smoking inside fenced area 
  • No spitting, spouting of water, nose blowing, urination or human waste in the water
  • Access to the water for any person with open sores or wounds is not permitted

Accessibility

Cleveland Metroparks is dedicated to ensuring individuals of all abilities have the opportunity to splash around in the pool this summer. Ledge Pool meets the ADA guidelines for accessible design with its therapeutic stairs and zero based entry ramp.
