Abstract: This project will examine cutaneous immune defenses of cricket frogs (Acris crepitans) in situ to improve our understanding as to how anthropogenic alterations to the larval environment effect resistance to pathogens such as amphibian chytrid (Batrachochyium dendrobatidis). This study is one component of a larger research program which will serve as my dissertation titled: Do anthropogenic environmental changes affect the heritability of amphibian immune defense?
