Bats are typically shy and gentle animals that are actually helpful to our environment.

Furthermore, there's no truth to the myth that bats want to be in your hair! Dr. Tuttle of Bat Conservation International tried an experiment to test this fact, and could not get a bat to stay on the person's head even though he wrapped the hair around the bat. It flew off as soon as he took his hand away!
