Zoo Biology Major at Malone College

Cleveland Metroparks Zoo has formed a professional partnership with Malone College to offer a Bachelor of Arts degree in Zoo Biology within Malone's Department of Natural Sciences. This is one of the few Zoo Biology programs offered in the United States.

Zoo Biology majors enjoy small class sizes (average class size is 10 students) and one-on-one interaction with professors and animals. The curriculum includes "Zoo Science & Management", a class that provides an overview of science and animal management at the Zoo. The Zoo will also offer a very limited number of internships to Zoo Biology Majors.

This program is specially designed to prepare the graduate for a professional zoo career (e.g., zoo keeping, administration, research, education), graduate school (M.S./Ph.D.) and/or veterinary school. As such, this is a rigorous program that is designed to be both theoretical and applied.

Malone College is situated in northeast Ohio, approximately 45 minutes south of Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. For further information regarding details of the program, please click the logo below to be directed to the Malone College home page.
