Yes, the Zoo has a library and a new online resource library!
Now you can explore the Zoo's growing collection of digital resources.
Zoo Library Facts:
- The Library is run by one Librarian and 15 Library Volunteers
- It's a great resource for our over 400 volunteers and for staff members in the Education, Marketing, Animal Care, Horticulture & Guest Services divisions.
- The Library houses a collection of over 7000 books and maintains approximately 100 periodical subscriptions.
- We cover a wide variety of topics ranging from "green living" and sustainability to exotic animal medicine and endangered species breeding.
- The Library responds to U.S. Mail information requests, e-mail requests, phone requests (216-635-3333), and daily staff inquiries.
Materials are circulated to staff and volunteers only.
The library is open to the public for research purposes on Wednesday and Saturday morning, and other times by appointment.
Library Hours:
- Weekdays: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Weekends: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
