Summer Day Camp at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo creates compelling experiences that connect children with wildlife and inspire personal responsibility for conserving the natural world. Children are grouped according to age to provide a safe and nurturing learning environment.

Summer Day Camp Information:

Children ages 5–14 can spend their summer days at the Zoo participating in fun and educational activities with experienced camp counselors.

Time:

Full Day: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Half Day: 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Cost Per Week:

Half Day (Member): $115
Half Day (Non-Member): $135
Full Day (Member): $165
Full Day (Non-Member): $190

Ages 5–10

Campers ages 5–10 can participate in three camps on alternating weeks, so they can spend more than one session at Summer Day Camp! All three camps will explore the entire Zoo, but each week will focus on a different theme and provide a unique experience for your camper!

Ages 11–12 — NEW for 2013!

Summer Day Camp provides a balance of fun and educational science-based activities that will keep campers engaged throughout the week.

This new camp provides older campers the opportunity to learn about Zoo animals, participate in Get-Close animal encounters and behind the scenes tours. In addition, campers will observe and record various types of animal behavior at the Zoo and in nearby Brookside Reservation and Big Creek to learn about the wildlife biology of NE Ohio!

Ages 13–14

Our "Counselor-In-Training" leadership camp for ages 13-14 allows participants to develop their leadership skills by working alongside our day camp staff, partnering up with our teen "Zoo Crew" volunteers, and participating in team building and challenge activities!
