Exciting Opportunities for Everyone...
Teachers Families Volunteers
Students Groups

Kids, ages 5-12, can join the Zoo for a week of Summer Day Camp. The program encourages respect and stewardship of the natural world and provides a better understanding of our place within it. Children are grouped according to age to provide a safe and nurturing learning environment. Campers will tour exhibits, encounter small education animals (birds, rabbits, etc.), create arts and crafts, meet zookeepers, participate in cultural activities (African drum circle, storytelling, etc.), play games and learn a lot about the living world around them.

Information:

We offer two different camps on alternating weeks, so kids can spend more than one session at Summer Day Camp. Choose either Camp A or Camp B to enjoy half of the zoo -- or take both in any order for two full weeks of fun!

Camp A will visit Australian Adventure, Primates, Cat & Aquatics and the RainForest. Camp B will take your camper to Africa, Northern Trek, and the RainForest. Both camps will visit seasonal exhibits.

Campers must be 5 years old by June 14, 2010 in order to participate.

NEW THIS YEAR will be "Counselor-In-Training," a leadership camp available to campers ages 13-14! Participants develop their leadership skills by working alongside our day camp staff, partnering up with our teen "Zoo Crew" volunteers, and participating in team building and challenge activities. This program is offered during Sessions 5 and 7*.

Registration must be completed by a parent or legal guardian.
