Cleveland Metroparks Zoo Events Home > Red, White & Zoo

Everyone's invited to celebrate Independence Day along with the red, white and blue creatures of Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. The second annual Red, White & Zoo event features admission discounts, patriotic music and holiday-themed animal activities.

Anyone who wears red, white and/or blue to the Zoo on the Fourth will receive $2 off admission that day - making admission just $8 per person, $5 for kids ages 2 to 11 and free for children under 2 and Zoo members. (Discount limited to one per person and is valid only on July 4, 2009.)

Highlights of Red, White & Zoo include red, white and blue frozen treats for the lions, tigers and bears, rhinos painting in red, white and blue, Get Close Animal Encounters, an American Flag Garden and a self-guided "parade" of the Zoo, highlighting all animals red, white and blue. The Zoo will also be giving away a free miniature American Flag for first 2,000 visitors and DINOSAURS! is free all day
