Celebrate Earth Day at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo!

Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is having a Party for the Planet to celebrate Earth Day, and you’re invited! The party happens from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 21 and all guests will receive $2 off the regular admission rate.
The event will feature environmental education and family fun while highlighting the Zoo’s sustainability initiatives, bio-diversity and how conservation efforts protect wildlife and wild places. Guests can enjoy animal enrichment demonstrations, Get Close animal encounters, entertainment from Radio Disney and local music groups, crafts and more.
An Educator’s Open House will be held during the event to offer local teachers the chance to learn about the variety of programs offered by the Zoo’s Conservation Education Division. Register, by April 7, for the Educator's Open House HERE.
The Zoo will be collecting aluminum cans, cell phones and child car seats for recycling during the event.
We also encourage you to bring in a white recycleable plastic bag to exchange for a reusable bag donated by our friends at Whole Foods Market (while supplies last). With your help, we'll use your plastic bag to put the finishing touches on a special polar bear sculpture being created in Northern Trek.

Our Culinary Team will sauté Pan Seared Diver Sea Scallops with Roasted Corn and Fresno Chili Confetti on a Wonton Crisp with a Chive Oil Vinaigrette in partnership with Euclid Fish. Learn about the Zoo's partnership with the Monterey Bay Seafood Watch program.

Our Culinary Team will prepare fresh Pesto Caprese Salad served in a Butter Lettuce Cup. Zoo visitors willl learn about the preparation of our house made pesto sauce, our onsite organic herb garden and our in-house food composting program.
