Join the "Green Generation" and party for the planet during the 20th annual EarthFest celebration at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo.
Presented by Cleveland's Earth Day Coalition, EarthFest features special eco-exhibits and entertainment throughout the day. EarthFest is the longest-standing Earth Day festival in the United States and remains Ohio's largest environmental-education event. The special day includes more than 160 environmental exhibits focused on climate-change solutions, an organic food market, a clean-transportation area, a green home-improvement area, and an interactive children's area.
Welcoming ceremonies for EarthFest start at 11 a.m. at the Zoo Amphitheater. Throughout the day, EarthFest visitors can learn about the Zoo's recycling and Zoo-Poo composting programs throughout the day and check out live entertainment from local bands at the Amphitheater. Plus, stop by the polar bear exhibit to learn about Disneynature's upcoming film "EARTH" which chronicles the stories of endangered polar bear, elephant and whale families as they journey across the planet.
Admission to the Zoo and EarthFest is FREE for registered participants in the Walk or Bike for the Earth events and those who ride the RTA Clean-Air Bus from Public Square to the Zoo. (Proof of purchase from the bus is required.) Regular EarthFest admission is $10 for adults, $7 for kids ages 2 to 11 and free for children under 2 and Zoo members.
