Get a jump on Leap Year at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo's Leap Frog Day on Friday, February 29 with activities in The RainForest from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The entire day is dedicated to our slimy frog friends with fun games, crafts, Get Close Frog Encounters, Meet the Keeper sessions and an opportunity to meet the Zoo's new mascot, the wood frog, Vern!

"Cans for Conservation" aluminum can drive
Gather up your old aluminum cans and bring them to the Zoo. All proceeds go to the Amphibian Conservation Fund. Participants who bring at least ten cans will get a complimentary Zoo pass and a chance to win other great frog prizes! (Limit one per person, pass valid 3/1/08-5/1/08, not valid for admission to Leap Frog Day) |

Vern is making his debut at Leap Frog Day and will serve as an ambassador for the Zoo throughout 2008 as the Zoo celebrates Year of the Frog, a campaign to increase awareness of the global amphibian crisis. |
