Meet Zuri, the Zoo's Black Rhino Baby Born on July 11, 2007
She was a big bundle of joy when she was born at the Zoo on July 11, and now the baby rhino has a name thanks to voters online in Cleveland Metroparks Zoo's ongoing "My Name Is?" promotion with Fox 8. The name chosen is Zuri, which means "Beautiful" in Swahili.
Zuri is growing fast - to the right are some early baby pictures taken by Zoo volunteer Ron Wilson showing baby Zuri and mom Inge in their first week together at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo.
The Zoo announced Zuri's birth with a video podcast and we will be posting regular video updates online, so please check back regularly.
