Winter Discount Starts November 1 at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo

Cleveland Metroparks Zoo drops its admission prices as the temperatures go down. Admission to the Zoo is discounted from November 1 through March 31, 2010, to just $7 per person, $5 for kids ages 2 to 11 and free for children under 2 and Zoo members.

There's plenty to see and do at the Zoo during the colder months of the year.

The animals of Northern Trek are at their most active in the fall and winter, including Mexican gray wolves, Bactrian camels, reindeer, bears and tigers. And there are plenty of species to see indoors at the Primate, Cat & Aquatics Building, the Center for Zoological Medicine, the GumLeaf Hideout, and, of course, The RainForest, where it's always a balmy 78 to 80 degrees.

The Zoo's Australian Adventure exhibit is closed for the season after Sunday, November 1. It will reopen in the spring of 2010.

Summer attractions DINOSAURS! and FLUTTER! also have wrapped up for the year.

In its fourth year since 2003, DINOSAURS! drew a record attendance of 444,820 people from its opening on May 21 through its closing on October 25.

Northeast Ohio's most-visited year-round attraction, Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Located at 3900 Wildlife Way, the Zoo is easily accessible from Interstates 71, 77, 90 and 480.
