Spend your winter break with the wildlife at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. December Days at the Zoo runs from December 21 to 24 and 26 to 30, featuring discount admission, holiday entertainment and lots more festive fun.

December Days admission is just $6 per person, $4 for kids ages 2 to 11 and free for children under 2 and Zoo members. Special seasonal activities are scheduled daily from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. throughout the Zoo.

Warm up and enjoy live holiday music inside The RainForest and Wolf Lodge. Also, watch ice-carving demonstrations on the Welcome Plaza, decorate cookies in The RainForest and make eco-friendly crafts in Wolf Lodge.

Santa Claus will pose for pictures December 21 to 24 at Wolf Lodge. Zoo visitors also can check out the traveling GEICO Gecko Exhibit, which ends its run at the Zoo's Exhibit Hall on Thursday, December 31.

December Days at the Zoo offers something for everyone, whether you like the cool climate of Cleveland or the warmth of the tropics.

Inside The RainForest, it's always a comfortable 78 to 80 degrees, and at Wolf Lodge you can warm up in front of the fireplace. Or, bundle up to see the winter-loving animals of Northern Trek, including tigers, bears, reindeer and camels.

All winter long, the Zoo offers complimentary transportation through the Zoo in a heated shuttle. The Zoo is closed Christmas Day, December 25, and New Year's Day, January 1, 2010.
