Guests will find Cleveland Metroparks Zoo more accessible than ever with the Zoo’s new iPhone app. Expanding on the content that was available in the inaugural edition, the Zoo partnered with local integrated marketing agency thunder::tech for the new app to enhance visitor experiences and reduce the consumption of paper maps.
The new app is designed to help visitors navigate the Zoo’s 183 acres with maps detailing each area of the Zoo including The RainForest, African Elephant Crossing, Northern Trek, African Savanna, Australian Adventure, Waterfowl Lake and the Primate, Cats & Aquatics Building.
Guests can use the app to learn more about the Zoo’s animals and exhibits, quickly locate concession stands, restrooms and gift shops and find out about upcoming events, activities and promotions.
From the app, users also will be able to interact with various social media platforms and share photos and posts with their family and friends.
Future updates will include themed tours and activities, videos and expanded events coverage.
The Zoo’s iPhone app is available now as a free download in the Apple iTunes app store. Android and Blackberry versions will be available soon.
