The Prosimian Husbandry Workshop will be hosted at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo from April 30 to May 2, 2009. The workshop will emphasize group discussion of captive prosimian husbandry and management issues.
Workshop Details
The workshop will be held at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo in the Administration Building on April 30, May 1 and May 2, 2009. An optional icebreaker for workshop attendees will be held April 29 from 7-11 p.m. at the Winking Lizard on Rockside Road in Independence, Ohio (directions from workshop hotels).

Workshop Focus and Attendance
The workshop is open to all but content will be geared toward animal keepers. The focus will be on husbandry and management issues with an overview of prosimian conservation issues. We have limited attendence to approximately 50 people to insure high quality sessions and discussions.
Workshop Structure
- Keynote Speaker: Our keynote speaker is Ingrid Porton, Curator of Primates at St. Louis Zoo. Ingrid will also attend the workshop.
- Topic Sessions: Sessions will have defined timeframes and Topic Moderators will be responsible for opening their topic session with either a presentation or opening statement to stimulate discussion.

Fees
Workshop fee includes several meals, a limited-edition short-sleeve T-shirt, a binder, a record of the proceedings and a CD of recommended prosimian literature (literature list to be available here in the near future).

- 3 continental breakfasts
- 3 morning breaks
- 3 lunches
- 3 afternoon breaks
- 1 evening meal (to be held in the Zoo's Primate, Cat & Aquatics Building on Friday, May 1)
