Conserving Species and Habitats in Our Own Backyard

Quarters for Conservation

Location: Cleveland Metroparks, Northeastern Ohio, US

Funding for these collaborative projects with Cleveland Metroparks and the Lake Erie Allegheny Partnership for Biodiversity (LEAP) will support:

  • A pilot collaborative, regional conservation project for the threatened spotted turtle working to study, protect and bolster shrinking populations
  • Habitat and wildlife studies, including a pilot coyote tracking study and monitoring of local bat populations in Cleveland Metroparks to better understand their ecology and document rare species
