• Adult swans primarily feed in shallow water using their long necks to their advantage, but they will tip-up like dabbling ducks to feed in water 4 feet deep.
  • Trumpeter pairs are territorial, and will vigorously defend mating, nesting, and cygnet feeding areas.
  • Once Trumpeters reach flight stage, they usually survive most natural predators.
