The Primate, Cat & Aquatics Building features one of the largest collection of primate species in North America including gorillas, new world monkeys and several species of lemur. (Several species of primates are also on exhibit in The RainForest.)
Two male gorillas roam the Outdoor Gorilla Exhibit during the warm weather months. Nearby, some of the Zoo's slowest moving animals, Aldabra tortoises, spend the summer in an outdoor exhibit across from the Zoo's speediest animals, the cheetahs.
Also see rare snow leopards, a fossa and 35 different displays of salt and freshwater life including sharks, piranhas, giant Pacific octopus and living coral. |
