Rising Waters Safari Camp is a unique program that gives students the opportunity to become scientists for a night. The program teachers them how researchers use current technology and scientific terminology to collect data on wildlife and habitats. Using several tools and techniques, participants will work in "scientific teams" to illustrate how field biologist conduct their research in various environments. Specifically, the teams will focus their study on African wildlife and culture. In the process, participants will have an opportunity to use GPS tracking devices, night-vision binoculars, traditional binoculars and authentic African instruments.
