Insects greatly outnumber all other animals in the world's rain forests. On the lower level, across the path from the tropical rain storm, the insect exhibits feature leaf-cutter ants, dead-leaf mantids, hissing cockroaches, and several other species.
The interactive display of leaf-cutter ants is equipped with a video camera system that magnifies the ants on adjacent video screens. Visitors can control and operate the moveable camera to gain the best view of the busy ant colony.
