Cleveland Metroparks Zoo reminds visitors to use alternate routes due to construction work on the Fulton Road Bridge. You may encounter some delays getting to the Zoo on busy days - particularly weekends and Mondays - so you may want to allow yourself some extra time. The Zoo is located just 5 minutes from downtown and easily accessible from Interstates, 71, 77, 90 and 480.

Driving...
To avoid delays, the following routes to the Zoo are suggested:
From I-71: Exit at West 25th Street and follow Zoo signs.
From I-90: Take I-71 South, exit at West 25th Street and follow Zoo signs.
From I-480: Two options. Exit State Road north to Pearl Road and follow Zoo signs. Or, exit Ridge Road north to Memphis Avenue and follow Zoo signs.
From Akron: Two options. Take I-77 North to I-480 West. Exit State Road north to Pearl Road and follow Zoo signs. Or, exit Ridge Road north to Memphis Avenue and follow Zoo signs.
From I-80 (Ohio Turnpike): Zoo accessed from two exits. Take Exit 173 to I-77 North, to I-480 West to State Road (north) to Pearl Road then follow Zoo signs. Or, take Exit 161 to I-71 North to West 25th Street then follow Zoo signs.
From Geauga Lake: Take SR 43 (north) to SR 91 (north) to 422 (west) to I-480 West. Exit State Road (north) to Pearl Road then follow Zoo signs. The Zoo is 24 miles from Geauga Lake.
Parking is Free.
By RTA Bus...
From June 14 to August 24, on weekends only (Saturday and Sunday), you can take RTA's Zoo bus (20Z) from Public Square in downtown Cleveland to the Zoo and receive discounted admission. Call (216) 621-9500 for a schedule or visit the RTA website. |
