Read the following carefully

- The primary business
of Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is operation of the Zoo and The RainForest.
Our primary concern is the safety and well being of the animals
at the Zoo and The RainForest. To support these concerns
and to insure the safety of the Guest Group, the Zoo has the right
to terminate or move the location of the event. If the Guest Group
causes termination, then the Guest Group will not be entitled to
any reimbursements of payments made. If the Guest Group does not
cause termination, then all payments made by the Guest Group will
be refunded in full.
- Guest Group agrees
to comply with all rules and regulations stated in this
document prescribed by the Zoo for the management and operation
of the Zoo and The RainForest facilities. The Zoo reserves
the right to amend, modify, and/or revoke the permission and privileges
granted herein at any time. Guest Group shall secure necessary governmental
licenses and permits. Guest Group is responsible
for paying any applicable ASCAP and BMI fees associated
with the purpose of this Agreement.
- The rental fee
is due 14 (fourteen)-business days after the facility is reserved.
Upon receipt of payment, reservation will become final. The permit
must be with a representative of the Guest Group or a member at
all times during the event. Rental fees are non-refundable.
- Zoo staff will
be on-site during the event. All after-hour events and
events serving alcoholic beverages must have a Cleveland Metroparks
Ranger(s) for security. The rate is $25.00 per hour
(four-hour minimum). The client must pay the ranger(s) directly
by check or cash the day of the event. Notice of cancellation
must be received at least 24 hours before the scheduled event,
or the four-hour minimum payment will be charged. Please
make all arrangements with Group Sales Representative in accordance
with policy regarding "Use of Park Rangers for Special
Events and Facilities."
- During the Zoo &
The RainForest normal hours of operation, group admission
rate will be charged for each individual entering the grounds.
Tickets must be reserved at least three weeks prior to event date.
Final count and payment are due two weeks before event date.
Client may either pick up tickets prior to the event upon receipt
of payment or provide the Group Sales Representative with the
company's express mail carrier account number.
- The Guest Group will
not sell or serve any food or beverages at the facility
or allow any food or beverages to be brought into the facility
without the prior consent of the Group Sales Representative.
Any agreement with the Zoo and The RainForest official caterer
or an outside caterer is separate from this agreement. The Zoo
must approve the sale, consumption, or use of alcoholic beverages.
All laws of the State of Ohio pertaining to use and consumption
of alcoholic beverages must be obeyed with and alcoholic
beverages must be purchased through the official Cleveland
Metroparks Zoo caterer, Treetops Catering by Aramark.
- The Zoo may, at its
discretion, limit the time of and/or sound level of live
or recorded music.
- Smoking is prohibited
in any indoor facility.
- No open flames
are permitted. Votive candle lights and enclosed candles
are acceptable for use.
- Invitation copy,
pamphlets and flyers must be faxed or mailed to the Group Sales
Office for review and approval prior to being printed
for distribution. Allow sufficient time for approval. Cleveland
Metroparks Zoo will provide camera-ready art of its Zoo logo and
directional map.
- Community-wide or
national publicity for the function must be approved by
the Zoo's Marketing Division. Examples must be submitted
to the Group Sales Office prior to printing. Allow sufficient
time for approval.
- In the event the facility
and/or any property of the Zoo and The RainForest is damaged
by the Guest Group, its agents, employees or any person admitted
to the Zoo or the facility by the Guest Group, the Guest Group
will reimburse the Zoo. The amount will reflect the total
needed to restore the Zoo and The RainForest, facility or property
to its original condition, together with all costs incurred by
the Zoo in collecting such sums, including reasonable attorney's
fees. The Guest Group will indemnify, hold harmless
and if requested, defend the Zoo and The RainForest, the Board
of Park Commissioners, and all persons affiliated with Cleveland
Metroparks from any liabilities arising or resulting from the
Guest Group's use of the facility.
- Guest Group shall
obtain, or shall cause to be obtained, commercial general liability
insurance, including without limitation contractual liability
coverage, products and completed operations coverage, coverage
for collapse and underground exposure, and commercial automobile
liability insurance for owned, hired, and non-owned automobiles.
Such commercial general liability insurance and commercial automobile
insurance shall be primary to any insurance maintained by Cleveland
Metroparks, and shall name the Board of Park Commissioners of
the Cleveland Metropolitan Park District as an additional
insured and provide coverage for Bodily Injury (including
loss of life) and Property Damage having a combined single limit
of not less than $1,000,000 per accident/occurrence. Upon
request by the Office of the Zoo Director, certificates of insurance
evidencing the aforementioned coverages and/or copies of the insurance
policies providing such coverages, effective as of the (event
date/work commencement date), shall be furnished to the Office
of the Zoo Director.
- After hours, Guest
Group may not enter or use rooms or areas not specified
in the permit.
- Premises must be restored
to original condition immediately following conclusion of the
event. The caterer is responsible for removing all rentals and
food.
- Storage for
equipment or goods is not provided, and the Zoo
assumes no responsibility for loss. All rental equipment
deliveries must be pre-arranged ten (10) days in advance of the
event and scheduled during regular shipping hours. The Zoo is
not responsible for setting up or breaking down of rental equipment
but will supervise placement. Rental equipment must be delivered
on the day of the event and removed immediately following the
event unless arrangements have been made with the Group Sales
Office.
- Cleveland Metroparks
Zoo is a recycling agency and asks that all Guest Groups
utilize the recycling containers available at the various
locations throughout the park.
- These Guest Group
Guidelines "Conditions of Use" are effective
as of May 1, 1999.
