Help the Zoo Name its New Grizzly Bear Cubs
It’s time for “Dub the Cubs 2.0!” Cleveland Metroparks Zoo has two new grizzly bear cubs and we need your help in choosing their names.
(Read the news release about the cubs.)
This brother and sister bear pair comes to the Zoo through an arrangement with the Wyoming Game & Fish Department. They are approximately 7 months old and between 70 and 85 pounds, the same age and weight as Cody and Cooper, the bear cubs from Montana that came to the Zoo in July. Right now the two pairs of cubs are alternating on and off exhibit, but Animal Care staff members hope to have all four cubs on exhibit simultaneously in the near future.
The list of potential names represents the history and geography of Wyoming, so please choose your favorite from the list of boy names and your favorite from the list of girl names and help us dub the cubs!
The poll will run through September 30 and the results will be released on October 3.
