Zoo Hot Spots, Summer 2009

During your visit, be sure to check out the Zoo's "Hot Spots" where you'll meet the animal keepers, get up close to the animals, see live shows and more. These are must-sees that you won't want to miss! Look for "Hot Spot" markers as you travel through the Zoo. The "Hot Spot" activities are free with Zoo admission (unless specifically noted) and run Memorial Day through Labor Day.

The show runs three times daily and features an all-star cast of Zoo animals, including a white stork, African guinea fowl, greater sulfur-crested cockatoo, two-toed sloth, Egyptian vulture, Burmese python, peregrine falcon, fennec fox, scarlet macaw and a palm cockatoo.

Learn about the need to take care of the environment and protect animals. Birds, mammals, reptiles and amphibians from all over Australia play a key role in getting the message across.
