More Ways to Interact with the Zoo Online

It's almost 2009 and Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is celebrating by expanding its online presence to include Twitter and Flickr. Follow us on Twitter (http://twitter.com/clemetzoo) -- we'll be tweeting daily about what's happening at the Zoo and any new updates, changes and additions to our activity schedules for our special events. We'd also love to know what YOU want to hear on Twitter -- please leave your comments below. I'll also be sharing the latest Zoo photos on Flickr (the Zoo's photostream). Whether you're a Flickr addict or not, feel free to add us to your contact list. We'd love to see all your Zoo photos. We'll even tweet them to our followers.

Bob Evans Presents Generous Donation to Zoo's Vernal Pool Project

I was fortunate enough to attend a Bob Evans holiday party last night during which Zoo Marketing & Public Relations Specialist Jo Clemens accepted a very generous contribution to Cleveland Metroparks' and Cleveland Metroparks Zoo's Vernal Pool Project. The contribution was the result of a fundraiser held on July 29 at 24 participating Bob Evans Restaurants in Northeast Ohio. A portion of the proceeds from restaurant sales on that day were donated to the Vernal Pool Project to the tune of $6190. Bob Evans also served as a supporting sponsor of the Zoo's 2008 summer event Frogs, Hogs & Dogs.

Thank you Bob Evans for your generous support!

A Rare Look at the Rarest Turtle
