Art for Elephants

We have kids to thank for bringing the Zoo its first elephant 100 years ago, and it turns out kids are helping again as we prepare to build a $25 million, expanded habitat for elephants.

Delaney (age 7) and Macy (age 5) held an art show and sale to help raise money for the Zoo’s new elephant exhibit – African Elephant Crossing. The girls created numerous works of art from puppies and rainbows to landscapes and portraits. Friends, family and neighbors toured the gallery as the girls raised nearly $150 to donate to chairties of their choice. The girls decided to split the money between two worthy causes – their church and the new home for the elephants.
