Leapin' Lizards...Cleveland Metroparks Zoo Opens GEICO Gecko Traveling Exhibit

You've seen the commercials. You know the ones. The commercials starring the adorable gecko spokes-creature promoting car insurance and wildlife conservation.

Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is proud to welcome the traveling GEICO Gecko exhibit.

The traveling exhibit is located inside the Zoo's Exhibit Hall today through December 31 and features five giant day geckos in a naturalistic habitat. Day geckos are a unique group of lizards native to Madagascar and the Indian Ocean islands. The exhibit also includes a lot of important information about wildlife conservation.

Not to be outdone, the GEICO Gecko costume character will appear at the Zoo on select days through the end of the year. Please check back often for details as to dates, times and locations.

The traveling exhibit is in partnership with the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) and GEICO (Government Employees Insurance Company).
