All it takes is a one-dollar donation and a little luck to put Cleveland Metroparks Zoo's holiday wreath on your front door this holiday season. The Zoo's Guest Services staff decorated and donated a unique holiday wreath to the "Spirit of Cleveland Holiday Showcase" at the Cleveland Plus Visitors Center. The Zoo's wreath was made entirely of recycled materials and will on display through December 10. Find out more about the exhibit and how you can enter to win this wreath!Raffle tickets will be available at the Visitors Center starting Saturday, November 27. Raffle tickets are $1 each or six for $5. Proceeds benefit the Spirit of Cleveland and the wreath sponsoring organization. Raffle ticket sales end Friday, December 10, at 5 p.m. A winner will be selected for each wreath and announced December 13.
Here's a shot of the Zoo's wreath taken before it went on display (How cute it this?? I'm guessing our blog readers will not need much convincing to buy raffle tickets for this one!)

Included and displayed with the wreath is the following statement of inspiration and theme:
"Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is known for a strong commitment to Conservation, Education and Recreation. It is appropriate that the wreath we are showcasing is decorated with handmade art work that represents the Zoo. Each piece is made from recycled materials and hand-crafted by Zoo employees.
The mission of Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is to improve the future for wildlife by exhibiting animals and plants and providing education and conservation programs which encourage respect and stewardship of the natural world and a better understanding of our place within it.
This Zoo wreath includes 15 Zoo admission vouchers valued at $150.00."
