Ultrawalk and Ultrabird funds will support publication of the final report of the five-year forest breeding bird survey conducted 2006-2010 in the Rocky River Important Bird Area. Funds will also support ongoing bird surveys in the Rocky River IBA. IBA's (Important Bird Areas) are tracts of land that the National Audubon Society has determined are crucial to the existence of birds and other wildlife. Western Cuyahoga Audubon has adopted the Rocky River Important Bird Area, comprising the East Branch of the Rocky River, from Hinckley to North Olmsted, and north to Lake Erie.
