Meet Your Best Friend at the Zoo

Are you looking for the purrfect cat or dog companion? Then head to Meet Your Best Friend at the Zoo on Saturday, June 9 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Zoo is teaming up with more than 20 animal rescue organizations to find loving homes for more than 100 dogs, cats, kittens and puppies most of which are available for immediate adoption.

These rescue groups and shelters will also offer advice on choosing the right pet and how best to care for it. All dogs and cats will have received a medical check-up and age-appropriate vaccination. Each participating group sets its own adoption fees and policies.

Attention new adopters! You can pick up a free "New Pet Adoption Packet" with valuable coupons for pet food, store services and great deals courtesy of Petco and the Petco Foundation.

Be sure to stop by the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District tent to learn more about their Pick Up Poop! program.

Meet Your Best Friend at the Zoo is a free event held outdoors under tents in the Zoo's Ticket Plaza. For health and safety reasons, please leave your current pets at home.
