2012 Photo Safari Winners - Category: Reptile/Amphibian/Fish

Last week, an enthusiastic group of seven judges gathered at the Zoo to choose the winners of the 2012 Photo Safari contest. As you can imagine, this is no easy task as more than 900 entries were submitted from all over the country.

The judges were greeted by a room full of colorful photos laid out on tables, end-to-end, all silently calling "choose me, choose me"!

Slowly, but surely, category by category, first, second and third place winners were chosen in seven categories based on photo composition, imaginative subject treatment and overall photographic quality.

Over the next week, we will announce the 2012 winning photos by category. Yesterday, we announced the winners in the Friends & Family category. Today, we're introducing the Photo Safari winners in the Reptile/Amphibian/Fish category.

Congratulations to Debbie D. of Stow, Sylvia G. of Solon and Sue I. of Lyndhurst for their award-winning photographs.

And, thank you to Discount Drug Mart and First Merit Foundation for their generous support of the Zoo's Photo Safari program and to their commitment to the Northeast Ohio community.
