Is That a TV Anchor Shoveling Elephant Poo?

After doing "Channel 3 News Today" this morning, co-anchor Abby Ham made her way down to Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, looking to learn about how we turn elephant dung into compost that you can use in your own gardens.
What better way to learn than by doing? So we armed Abby with a wheelbarrow and a shovel, and we put her to work.
We replaced her heels with rubber boots, and the TV personality got right to business cleaning up the jumbo-sized poop left by our three elephants.
Our elephant keeper Mitch stopped by to offer some pointers, but Abby pretty much seemed to be a natural:
When she was done, Abby went with Mitch to take the poo to our compost pile, where it'll eventually become suitable for use in the Zoo's gardens. You can even buy some of your own ZooPoo in the spring and fall.
If you want to see the full story about Abby's visit to the Zoo, be sure to watch "Channel 3 News Today" all next week. It'll be "Zoo Week" at Channel 3, and they'll be doing segments live from the Zoo every morning.
And Abby's welcome to come back and help Mitch and the rest of our elephant keepers any time. (Thanks, Abby)
